This series consists of clippings, correspondence, invoices, letters, memorandums, minutes, notes, photographs, questionnaires, receipts, releases, reports, speeches, and telegrams relating to the creation, implementation, and coordination of urban youth programs in education, summer jobs, and summer recreation at the Federal, state, and local levels. Included are transcripts of council meetings, records of council conferences and task forces, questionnaires from targeted cities, reports on activities of other Federal agencies, published works from non-Federal organizations, weekly reports from the executive director to U.S. Vice President and Task Force chairman Hubert H. Humphrey describing council efforts, and annual internal reviews.
